She works with many local and international companies on massive energy, natural resources, and infrastructure projects and is widely recognised as a leading lawyer by several highly regarded rating agencies and their publications, including Chambers and Partners, Legal500, Clients Choice Awards, Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers; amongst others. Additionally, Nikita regularly shares her knowledge with the wider community through her analytical articles and opinion pieces regarding current affairs. Nikita Lalla lectures at the Mandela Institute (Wits School of Law) where she presents a Postgraduate Certificate Course in Construction and Engineering Law.
She leads the team at LNP Attorneys and they have been recognised by the African Legal Awards 2019 as the African Law Firm of the Year (Small Practice) and Energy & Natural Resources team of the Year. Recently Legal 500 named LNP Attorneys as the “Firm to Watch” in mining and projects and infrastructure in 2022.
With award-winning industry experience working with a range of local and international companies, Nikita Lalla heads up the Construction practice group. She is highly sought after for her expertise in contentious construction disputes arising from FIDIC contracts as well as bespoke construction contracts. Nikita has in-depth knowledge of the Federation Internationale Des Ingenieurs – Conseils (FIDIC).
Her experience extends to the drafting of standard form and bespoke construction and engineering contracts. These include engineering procurement and construction (EPC) and engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM), design and build (D&B), operation and maintenance (O&M) and design, build and operate (DBO) contracts, as well as professional appointments in the Energy, Infrastructure, PPP and in the mining space. Her experience includes mediation, adjudication, and arbitration.
